About Me

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Perhaps that is why I love photography so much.  For a man of few words, I love what a simple photograph can do for an individual.  It can evoke an emotion that is unique to each of us.  Because of life experiences  a thousand people can look at the same photograph and get something different from it.

As a photographer I enjoy capturing precious moments in time that bring to memory life’s experiences.

I enjoy flipping through my own photo albums and reminiscing of times past.  To me a photograph is like the smell of grandma’s coffee in the morning or mom’s hot fudge pudding cake or turkey at thanksgiving.  A well taken photograph can and should evoke an emotion unique to each individual.

My goal as a photographer and artist is to be able to capture and preserve happy moments in people’s lives that they can keep a hold of and cherish throughout their life.

. . . so a bit about my life and what has helped me to become the photographer that I am.

I was born in Price, UT  where I grew up playing “guns”, kick the can, sports, etc. and just had a lot of fun.  When I was around 10 years old we moved to the edge of town where my dad bought me a motorcycle. I spent my days riding for miles in the desert.  When I was 12 we moved to Layton.  There I made some great life long friends and graduated from Davis High School.  During my growing up years, my dad always had a video camera or regular camera with him.  Many of my childhood memories stem from pictures or photos taken from my dad.  In High School I took a photography class that helped instill in me a love for the art.  I’ve been developing my talent ever since.

After graduating High School I went on an LDS mission to Lima Peru.  I had wonderful experiences as a missionary.

After my mission I married my beautiful wife and graduated from Weber State University.  We have 2 wonderful children together.

I now live in Clinton, UT and work for the State.

Growing up in a family that would go hunting, camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, shooting, etc has helped me gain a respect and love for the outdoors and beauty of nature.

When I take pictures it helps me show others what I see and helps me demonstrate the beauty that is in the world.  From landscapes, bugs and flowers to people, pets and the twinkle in someone’s eye, photography has become my passion and opportunity to share.
